Delete Your InstaCheck Account

InstaCheck account deletion is handled securely inside the Android app. This page explains where to find it and what happens next.

In-app deletion steps

This is the current path in the Android app:

  1. 1Open InstaCheck on your Android device.
  2. 2Open Profile.
  3. 3In the Session section, select Delete Account.
  4. 4Verify your identity with your password, or continue with Google again for Google-only accounts.
  5. 5Review the final warning and select Delete permanently.

What is removed

Based on the current app and Firebase cleanup implementation, deletion removes:

  • Your Firebase Authentication account.
  • Your user profile document in Firestore, including account/profile fields and health-profile selections saved there.
  • Nested data under your profile document, including favorites, scan history, barcode subscriptions, notifications, and other profile subcollections.
  • Notification tokens connected to your user ID.
  • Reaction logs and reaction follow-ups associated with your user ID.
  • Reaction images stored under your user-specific Firebase Storage path.
  • Leaderboard entries, referral credit requests where you are the referred user, referral logs for your deleted account as the referred user, and referral codes owned by your user ID.

What may be retained or handled separately

Account deletion does not necessarily remove every record ever connected to InstaCheck immediately:

  • Product records and shared product images are shared catalogue data and are not deleted as part of deleting one account.
  • Product reviews are anonymized as coming from a deleted user rather than removed from product rating history.
  • The current backend cleanup specifically targets reaction images in storage; other user-specific stored files may require additional review or support follow-up.
  • Premium purchase, subscription, billing, refund, and entitlement records may also be handled by Google Play, RevenueCat, or the payment provider.
  • Some information may be retained where needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, subscription, analytics, backup, or operational reasons described in the Privacy Policy.
